Peter Loy began selling secondhand and collectable cameras in the mid-1980s at a camera shop in South West London (Andrew Cameras, a.k.a. The Antique Camera Co.). He soon expanded the classic and collectable part of the business and began buying at Christie’s, Bonhams and other specialist auctions. He also started buying more camera collections and buying at camera fairs in the UK, the USA, France, Germany and the Netherlands.

Peter Loy (Collectable Camera Specialists) was launched in 2004 and is a family-run business. Visitors to London’s Photographica fair may have seen three generations of the Loy family working together behind the sales tables.
